What is there for me in JCRE Skill Solutions?

JCRE Skill Solutions offers short term skill training courses under different sectors by highly trained and certified trainers by the respective Sector Skill Council. The trained candidates are awarded with NSDC certificates and further provide with job opportunities to them.

What is NSDC?

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is a one of its kind, Public Private Partnership in India, under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). It aims to promote skill development by catalysing and creation of large, quality, not-for-profit vocational institutions. NSDC was set up as part of a National Skill Development Mission to fulfil the growing need in India for skilled manpower across sectors and narrow the existing gap between the demand and supply of skills.

What is MSDE?

The Ministry for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has been formed to focus on enhancing employability of the youth through skill development. The Ministry is responsible for co-ordination of all skill development efforts across the country, removal of disconnect between demand and supply of skilled manpower, building the vocational and technical training framework, skill up-gradation, building of new skills, and innovative thinking not only for existing jobs but also jobs that are to be created. The Ministry aims to skill on a large scale with speed and high Standards in order to achieve its vision of a ‘Skilled India’.

What is NSQF?

The National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) organizes qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude. These levels are defined in terms of learning outcomes which the learner must possess regardless of whether they were acquired through formal, non-formal or informal learning. In that sense, the NSQF is a quality assurance framework. It is, therefore, a nationally integrated education and competency based skill framework that will provide for multiple pathways, horizontal as well as vertical, both within vocational training, general education and technical education, thus linking one level of learning to another higher level. This will enable a person to acquire desired competency levels, transit to the job market and, at an opportune time, return for acquiring additional skills to further upgrade their competencies.

What is PMKVY? Who are eligible to be a beneficiary under PMKVY?

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Any candidate of Indian nationality who: is an unemployed youth, school/college dropouts, possesses an Aadhaar card and a bank account has a verifiable alternate ID such as PAN or Voter ID (applicable only for the states of North-East region and J&K – Additional IDs may be added from time to time) Any other criteria, as defined by the SSCs for the respective job roles College students should not be allowed or enrolled under PMKVY as the Scheme focuses on School / College dropouts.
